CSP to fund additional BAME spaces for leadership programme

The CSP has agreed to pay for additional places on the Allied Health Professions Federation (AHPF) Future Leaders Programme specifically for BAME CSP members.

These places are in addition to those for BAME Allied Health Professionals that the AHPF is funding.

The programme, which is approved by the Institute of Leadership and Management, is aimed at future leaders of associations. It covers strategic corporate issues including finance, governance, leadership skills and risk management.

We are particularly keen to encourage CSP members from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities who are considering putting themselves forward for election to the CSP Council or applying to join a CSP committee in the next few years to consider this programme for professional development.

For more information about the programme itself, visit the AHPF website.

The AHPF has aimed to keep the application process simple by asking for a CV and covering letter addressing why candidates want to join the programme and what they hope to contribute to their professional association.

If you are interested in applying and would like support or have any further queries please contact governance@csp.org.uk

Bear in mind when writing your application that you should include information that addresses the following areas:

  • how the programme will help you in a CSP leadership role
  • clarity on what you will contribute to the CSP after the programme and innovative ideas as to how you see your leadership developing the CSP

To apply, send a CV and letter to info@ahpf.org.uk

The deadline for applications is Friday 12 February.
