Vacancy details

Our Therapy Department is currently looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to become part of our therapy team being established for our new Cancer Centre.

Working as part of a dedicated and skilled Cancer Services team you will be providing a holistic therapy approach to cancer patients in an inpatient setting. There is a strong expectation to collaborate with all members of the MDT to ensure the complex needs of patients are always at the centre of your care. Working closely with the Macmillan therapy staff and the community services to provide seamless transitions of care for patients will be important.

Previous experience of working within an inpatient and cancer setting are essential. An ability to demonstrate a proactive flexible approach and to be able to work well on own initiative is essential. Demonstrable skills in service development are desirable, along with a keen interest in educating fellow healthcare colleagues.

If you have the desire to be part of a team that will be developing leading cancer services in Milton Keynes and a strong commitment to compassionate care, we would love to hear from you.

We actively support continuing professional development and further education opportunities.

For further information or an informal discussion please contact Adam Baddeley, Inpatient Therapy Service Lead, via Physiotherapy reception on 01908 995432 or alternatively email robert.baddeley@mkuh.nhs.uk
