Help support our students in accessing all aspects of the curriculum by integrating therapy and learning objectives.
Salary: £29,178 to £38,007 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
Hours: Full-time 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday, all year round. Possibility to work Term Time only.
Location: Predominantly based in New Malden and Camberwell, however you must be willing to travel across sites (e.g for meetings, supervision, cover staff sickness) as service needs require.
We require a Specialist Physiotherapist to work across our sites, as part of our dynamic multi-disciplinary team (including SLTs, OTs and music therapists). You will support our students in accessing all aspects of the curriculum, as well as liaising with parents/carers and other external professionals and agencies. You will also work very closely with teaching staff, helping to integrate therapy and learning objectives, as well as educating and supporting teaching staff in such aspects as postural management, manual handling, delivering therapy programmes, aquatic therapy and use of specialised equipment. In addition the post will involve delivering training to other staff and provision of aquatic therapy. You will be responsible to and supported by the Band 7 equivalent Physiotherapist as well as the Lead for Therapies.

Newly expanded as an Academy Trust and with an Outstanding Ofsted rating, our friendly and successful Therapy team works in partnership with teaching staff across our sites in Carshalton, Hackbridge, New Malden, Wandsworth, Camberwell Green and Uxbridge. We also support other organisations in our Academy Trust as part of our Shared Services, which includes therapy provision in some special schools.
Together with the other college teams, we provide a non-residential, stimulating learning environment for students across a wide range of diagnoses including moderate/severe/and profound learning disabilities, Autism, physical disabilities, mental health and additional diagnoses.
