If you’re as excited about community physiotherapy as we are, then we may just have the job for you!

Our friendly and supportive Warminster Community Team needs a Band 6 Specialist Community Physiotherapist. The multi-disciplinary team, based in Warminster Community Hospital, provides complex interventions to a wide range of patients in their own homes and other community clinical settings. They also work closely with partners including specialist services, social care, acute hospitals and Primary Care.

The role is demanding but rewarding. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking individual who can work flexibly. The team is dynamic and friendly, and welcome the opportunity to work with a new member of staff willing to contribute to the ongoing development of the services delivered. Applicants will need experience in NHS patient care, evidence of up to date clinical professional development alongside excellent clinical and communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

The post holder will provide a timely, flexible response to referrals and support people in their homes by providing specialist clinical physiotherapy input and treatment. The role includes a focus on supporting hospital discharge through our Homefirst service as well as prevention of unnecessary hospital admissions, rehabilitation, long term condition management and falls prevention.

Wiltshire Health and Care is proactive in developing community specific training and offers a great environment in which to learn new skills, with a range of training and development opportunities, including an induction program and clinical support.

This role is 30 hours per week. Our therapy staff currently work between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 including weekend rotas. The therapy team consists of 5 therapy staff working closely with rehab and therapy support workers to support patients from 2 local GP practices.
