About this role
We are looking for a Physiotherapist, with experience of education, to join our academic community at the University of Chichester. Our evolving school is responsive to local health care and research influences, as well as delivering excellent teaching/learning opportunities, as recognised by our recent Gold Teaching Excellence Award.  This is a great opportunity to experience educational and research practice within a supportive University which is student focused. As a Physiotherapy Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to the delivery of our undergraduate and post-graduate Physiotherapy courses, you will  enhance the student experience and provide students with a high-quality, research informed educational experience. There are opportunities to embrace interprofessional research and scholarly activity in the school,   and support collaborations with clinical colleagues to develop and prepare appropriate clinical placements including educational audit and clinical liaison. As a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Allied Health your working year will be divided between teaching, partner engagement, assessment and research.

 

About you
The appointed postholder will have leadership experience, have a good relevant undergraduate degree with further professional or academic qualifications at Masters level in Physiotherapy. You will be a practicing Physiotherapist currently on HCPC register for a minimum of 4 years and will be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). You will also demonstrate the ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students and inspire them to learn. Ideally,  you will have current experience of working in another Higher Education Institute or in the NHS in an educational capacity.

Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching, experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to students.
