Pain Management Research – Call for Applications
The Thalidomide Trust is a UK-registered charity that provides advice and support to 437 beneficiaries living with the effects of the thalidomide drug that caused serious birth defects in babies born to women who ingested the drug during the first trimester of their pregnancy in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
We are seeking to commission research into Pain Management amongst our beneficiaries that will meet the following aims -
- To define the experience of pain suffered by beneficiaries.
- To identify and describe best practice approaches to pain management and their efficacy with the beneficiary group
- To define and describe an effective pain management pathway that reflects and matches the needs of beneficiaries of the Thalidomide Trust.

A funding award of up to £75,000 is available.

Bids to undertake this work must be received by 12 noon on 17 April 2023 and must be submitted on the application form attached to the brief to katy.sagoe@thalidomidetrust.org
Shortlisting will take place before the end of April and applicants will be notified as soon as possible if they have been shortlisted for interview.
Interviews will take place on 11 May 2023
