Inpatient Clinical Lead Physiotherapist

This role will ensure the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy care to patients and their journey through treatment in inpatients. Working with a multi-disciplinary senior management team, you will ensure quality service onsite, whilst also championing central protocols and pathways.

 

As the Inpatient Clinical Lead, you will ensure the team deliver evidence-based quality physiotherapy care, drive innovation and provide support on complex queries. You will support the Integrated Clinical Services Manager by bridging the clinical skills knowledge gap between the physiotherapy team and the operational management team.

 

The opportunity

With the recent reconfiguration of the team working sites between the hospital and the wellbeing centre in Cambridge, we are looking to ensure we continue to be able to offer the highest standards of clinical care to all cohorts of inpatient and out patients.

 

As our Inpatient Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, you will (but not limited to):

  • Take clinical standards compliance accountability for the inpatient team.

  • Support the inpatient team clinically (CPD, clinical service development, clinical 1-2-1's).

  • Ensure high patient satisfaction and address areas of concern. 

  • Responsible for investigating clinical complaints in line with the Nuffield Health complaints policy, in collaboration with other stakeholders. 

  • Understand care pathways and flagships.

  • Manage cover through rotas and case load management, by ensuring support and relevant cover.

  • Support recruitment and inductions.

  • Liaise and work closely with the Integrated Clinical Services Manager for operational concerns.

 

The Person

As our Inpatient Clinical Lead Physiotherapist you will have:

  • BSc or equivalent in chosen field with Extensive post grad experience of MSK Physiotherapy 

  • Registered with the appropriate professional body. 

  • Evidence of leadership or management roles previously, with ongoing CPD in area of clinical expertise and leadership/management.

  • Experience of developing services and delivering quality improvement initiatives. 

  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and share best practice and inspire clinical development. 

  • Ability to prioritise and deal with varied workload in an effective and timely manner. 

  • Commitment towards the use of evidence-based practice and the ability to demonstrate excellent clinical skills in the chosen field.   

  • MSc Physiotherapy/Working towards is desirable.
