Are you ready for a new challenge in a different kind of physiotherapy provision? Then come and join our physiotherapy team at Queen Alexandra College! We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified physiotherapist with a passion for delivering the best possible care and support to young adults with physical, learning and neuro disabilities. If you are looking for a role where no two days are the same and where your input will help our students’ to get the best out of their time at college, then this could be the job for you.
Our small physiotherapy team work alongside the curriculum department, our residential provision, and other therapy staff, to support students’ to manage their physical wellbeing. As well as direct contact with students to deliver therapeutic programmes, you will be involved in guidance and training for staff, assessing, planning and evaluating therapy plans and will liaise with parents, carers and other health professionals as required. You will also provide clinical supervision to our physiotherapy assistants.
We offer set working hours, days only, Monday to Friday, 41 weeks a year (although you may be expected to do some working outside of these hours to support with training, as required). The majority of hours are worked during term time, with two weeks worked across the summer break (there is an opportunity to work more flexibly across the summer break, as per the needs of the service). We are based in Harborne, Birmingham which has good transport links and is served by several frequent bus services.
