Lecturer Practitioner / Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in Physiotherapy

We are able to offer a total of 1.5fte across the above roles. Whilst ideally this would be two separate roles, we are open to discussing a lower FTE, up to a total of 1.0 FTE per role holder and could work flexibly to provide you with the opportunity to balance employment with us alongside continuing clinical practice work. We would therefore encourage candidates looking for any level of FTE to apply and state your preferred hours in your application form. 

Lecturer Practitioner Grade 7: £34,304.00 to £42,149.00

Senior Lecturer Grade 8: £39,739.00 to £50,296.00

Associate Professor Grade 9: £51,799.00 to £60,022.00

Market supplements may be available in certain circumstances.

Salaries are pro-rated, dependent on overall FTE of the postholder.

We are looking for physiotherapists with a clinical background in neurological or cardiorespiratory physiotherapy to develop and deliver high quality learning and teaching to the Integrated Masters in Physiotherapy programme at Plymouth Marjon University. 

You must be a registered physiotherapist of the Health & Care Professions Council and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, with experiences working in the National Health Service.

You will be joining a team of highly motivated multi-disciplinary professionals, duties will include:

  • Module leadership developing and managing teaching specific modules across all academic years
  • Contributing to all areas of academic practice such as personal development tutoring (PDT), placement development and support, knowledge exchange and/or research activities.
  • Contributing to delivery and development of our onsite physiotherapy and wellbeing clinics.

There is a requirement for you to possess a PGCert in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education, or a PGCert in Academic Practice, and/or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. However if you do not already possess this, we would support you in obtaining these qualifications internally.
