We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Junior Physiotherapist to join our diverse, growing therapy provision at the College. We can offer an excellent working environment with state of the art equipment, new and innovative treatment techniques, a large hydrotherapy pool, training, good CPD support and the opportunity to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team including Speech and Language and Occupational Therapists. We can offer a chance to develop your neurological rehabilitation skills, work with industry leading physiotherapists committed to providing outstanding therapeutic care for all.

Many of our students have complex physical and learning disabilities, or are on the autistic spectrum.  You will undertake assessments of individuals with complex pathologies and communication difficulties. Encourage students to partake in an active approach to regaining and maintaining independence. This requires empathy, sensitivity and exceptional interpersonal skills. Undertake treatments utilising a variety of modalities including gym work, exercise prescription, use of trampoline, aquatic physiotherapy and classroom based interventions. You will be able to instruct students, carers, tutors and learning support assistants on mobility and physical therapy activities and demonstrate the safe use of equipment.

A successful candidate will have responsibility for their own case load and be able to operate autonomously. You will hold supervision responsibility for Physiotherapy assistants and train newly appointed staff in elements of student care, safety and induction into the department. Be able to set SMART goals for treatment periods, review progress and modify goals and treatments as required.
