Ealing Trailfinders Academy: Head of Medical Services.

Ealing Trailfinders is an ambitious professional rugby competing in the RFU Championship. As part of the expansion of the academy program the club are looking for an experienced physiotherapist to lead and manage the provision of medical services to all academy players. This person will head up a team which will be dealing with the mens’s and women’s teams at Brunel, and also at Henley college.

Key aspects of the role: • Diagnosis and treatment of academy players. • Design and delivery of rehab programmes in conjunction with S & C staff.• Manage varied caseload. • Provide pitch side trauma cover for matches and training. • Ensure all medical notes are detailed and up to date. • Maintain good condition of all medical equipment. • Manage academy medical staff and ensure everyone is aligned towards the program aims. • Work as key member of the interdisciplinary team alongside S & C staff, coaches and other personnel. • Make regular written and verbal reports on player injuries/availability.

Qualifications/Experience: • Undergraduate in degree Physiotherapy. • PHICIS Level 3 or working towards it. • 3 years experience of working in full-time professional sport. • Experience of managing other staff. • Having held positions in professional rugby and post-graduate qualifications will be a significant advantage.

Who this position will suit: A highly motivated and experienced physiotherapist who has experience across a range of sports, and enjoys mentoring other staff and forming part of a strong management team.The role will report to the Senior Physiotherapist and the High Performance Manager.
