The society says the bill is bad news for CSP members. It will make it harder for you to get help from your CSP rep if you’re in difficulties at work.

Tomorrow MPs will be voting on a cap on the amount of time union representatives are allowed to help staff, and the right of unions to organise online balloting about issues that affect their members.

Jill Barker, chair of the CSP industrial relations committee, said: 'It is critical that we maintain the pressure on parliamentarians to secure an outcome that's good for physiotherapy staff and their patients.

'Conservative MPs and the government must take heed of peers' damning judgement of this legislation.'
