CSP chief executive John Cowman, has responded to social media posts regarding a female sports therapist supporting Tamworth Football Club.
The derogatory remarks made by X, attacking a physio for showing support to a female sports therapist as part of their role at Tamworth Football Club, have been widely shared across the social media channel.
In response, John Cowman said:
It’s something we’re seeing all too often and it is yet again another example of abuse that is common both online and in stadiums.
'Misogynist comments made against a female member of the medical team working for Tamworth FC and a female physio standing against these online perpetrators are unacceptable.
We all have a role in continuing to demonstrate allyship and calling out misogyny and abuse for what it is.
Social media platforms such as X should be doing more to moderate content.
