Lehara (www.lehara.org) is a charity registered in the UK and Nepal and runs a successful Sports Massage Service in the Himalaya - employing 5 local women and generating £1000’s to fund community initiatives. We are looking for a Physiotherapist who can volunteer their skills and time in and around October 2024 for 6 weeks. You will get the chance to live amongst the Sherpa community, in the foothills of Everest. You will be talking to trekkers and climbers, advertising the benefits of Sports massage and clinically supporting the therapists. Lehara will be covering all your costs in Nepal, including domestic flights, food and accommodation. You will be living and working within the Everest Base Camp valley, so our team can guide you to Everest Base Camp or Gokyo lakes, a trek that normally costs £1000s.
