Ask your election candidates to become a rehab champion

CSP is urging members to ask their local election candidates to become rehab champions and support the #RightToRehab campaign in the run up to the general election, which has been called for Thursday 4 July 2024.

Become a rehab champion #RightToRehab

Health will be a key topic of conversation during the general election, so this is an ideal opportunity to make the case for physiotherapy and rehabilitation to the people who want to represent us in Westminster for the next five years.

Candidates are paying attention to what’s important to people living or working in their constituency. After all they need your vote!

Letting candidates know about your priorities and the issues you and your patients face means they are more likely to act if elected to Parliament.

Ask your local candidates to become a rehab champion

During the election the CSP are asking candidates to sign up to become a rehab champion. Our rehab champions support the #RightToRehab campaign in Parliament, for policy and legislative change including improving access to rehabilitation services and expanding the physiotherapy workforce.

  • To help you start the conversation with your local parliamentary candidates use our action network platform to email your local candidates. We have provided a template email.

We will follow up with our newly elected rehab champions after the election.

How to email your local candidates

Use our tool above to compose match with your local candidates.

Feel free to amend the template as much as you like – candidates will be most interested in your personal experience as a healthcare worker and the experience of your patients.

Please let the CSP know if you receive a response by forwarding this to the policy team at policy@csp.org.uk.
