Vacancy details
Ipswich Town Football Club is looking for a Physiotherapist to provide medical provision across all development phases of the Academy, from the schoolboy age groups to the Under 18/21’s.
The Role:
The successful applicant must demonstrate excellent assessment and rehabilitation skills appropriate to an elite academy football environment. You will demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning skills and provide evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation using objective criteria.
The role will require being able to work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary performance team including medical, sports science, strength and conditioning staff. This will require the successful candidate to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all key stakeholders including parents and coaching staff.
The successful applicant will be supporting the Head of Academy Sports Medicine in the successful running of the Academy Medical Department. This will involve providing match and training pitch-side cover. The role requires regular travel, evening and weekend working.
This role is perfect for any physiotherapist looking to start work in professional football. You will be a part of a supportive, progressive Performance Department with regular CPD, opportunities to develop as a practitioner and access to industry-leading specialists.
Essential Criteria
• BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy
• Registration with the HCPC
• Member of the CSP
• Full UK driving licence
• Clear enhanced DBS check
Desirable Criteria
• Experience of working in football/elite sport
• Experience of working with young athletes
• FA Level 4 ITMMiF/Level 5 ATMMiF pitch-side first aid qualification
• Knowledge of EPPP framework
• Competent use of KitMan Labs software
