Physiotherapist

On July 19, 2022, the Province of B.C. announced bursary funding to support high priority internationally educated physiotherapist (IEPT) professionals that want to work in B.C.’s healthcare system. This program is administered by Health Match BC and is designed to retain Physiotherapy professionals in the public sector.   A bursary of up to CDN $18,811 is available to assist IEPTs with the costs associated with becoming registered to work in B.C.  Health Match BC, in partnership with the B.C. Ministry of Health and the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators, will support eligible IEPTs who want to work in B.C. by offering financial support to help pay costs associated with credential assessment, English language proficiency testing, exam preparation, and bridging education.  This bursary is available as of June 12, 2023.    Health Match BC may be contacted by email: Alliedhealthjobs@healthmatchbc.org

The Physiotherapist is based within PGH and Ridgewood Lodge and provides both acute inpatient and long-term care physical therapy services. PGH is a Community Hospital offering acute care, laboratory, and 24 hour emergency services. Ridgewood Lodge Long Term Care is a seniors’ care home adjacent to PGH with 37 private and semi-private rooms. Days of work are Monday to Friday with weekends and statutory holidays off.
