INTERACTIVE ONLINE COURSE
This interactive, live online half day course will provide you with the skills and information to make the most clinically appropriate and safe use of X-Ray Imaging for your patient.
This includes all the essential updates from the IR(ME)R 2017 regulations including your role and responsibility as a referrer, types of radiation, typical doses and justification of patient exposures.
The course will be conducted using Zoom Meetings. In addition, supplementary course content will be provided using our website member’s portal. Course access will require a PC/Mac or tablet (iPad or Android). Integral webcam and microphone is preferable although mobile dial in audio is supported (please contact us with any queries)

Appreciation of the harmful effects of radiation including biological effects.
The range of radiation doses likely for x-ray examinations.
Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 roles and responsibilities.

Where to access suitable x-ray referral criteria.
Alternative imaging and where to go to seek advice.
