The details: Permanent full-time, 40 hours per week (1.0FTE), rostered

Salary Range: $60,202 to $87,034 per annum



The Physiotherapy team is part of a dynamic and growing Allied Health service and currently provide a service into our Emergency Department across 7 days a week, with aims to reduce admissions and readmissions to the Hospital.



This is a full-time position working 4 days a week, with 3 days off.



Working days are Wednesday – Saturday; 40 hours per week.

The Waikato Emergency department is one of the busiest emergency departments in New Zealand. You will be proactively contributing to patient outcomes, avoid unnecessary hospital admissions, assisting with discharges and supporting patients to remain in the community with appropriate supports.



You will work as part of a team, providing an efficient and effective service to our patients, working with minimal clinical practice supervision, you will utilise principles of cultural safety and apply high level clinical expertise and independent professional judgment on a daily basis.



Are you someone that:

  • Has strong clinical skills and broad experience and knowledge relevant to this position
  • A forward thinker, someone that thrives in a fast paced environment, able to use your initiative to be able to work a flexibly with a varied caseload
  • Can work autonomously and collaboratively as part of the physiotherapy and wider multi-disciplinary team
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication and practices with a high level of integrity communication skills in order to effectively liaise with patients, their Whanau and other health care professionals
  • It is essential that you are a NZ registered Physiotherapist with Annual Practicing certificate
