The free event was themed on the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Moving Forward publication.
The interactive afternoon reviewed key evidence and included lectures and breakout sessions led by clinicians discussing the challenges and successes of local implementation.
If you missed out on a ticket, the presentations from the event can be viewed online via the Regional Network’s Twitter account @CSPNorthEast (scroll to Wednesday 22 May). Online comments about the event can also be found by searching for #MSKmovingforward
Helen Robson, CSP North East Regional Network Honorary Chair, said: “The day focused on the NIHR Moving Forward document and we were delighted that we had prominent researchers and international speakers Mike Hurley, Annette Bishop, Sallie Lamb and Kay Stevenson travel up to the North East to complement the excellent local speakers.
“We hope that this is the start of a new partnership with Sunderland University around facilities and educational opportunities and we are looking forward already to planning our October event which will take place at Teesside University.”
