The Pace Centre has been providing first class integrated education and therapy services for children aged 0-18 with cerebral palsy, related sensory motor disorders and developmental delay for more than 25 years.
The successful applicant will become the clinical lead for physiotherapy services at Pace school; responsible for delivery of physiotherapy within the Pace School Service and contributing to the strategic planning and development of the specialist transdisciplinary service for children with neurodevelopmental challenges attending Pace school. This entails applying, adapting and incorporating conventional paediatric physiotherapy treatment strategies within Pace’s broad integrated school curriculum. The applicant should have experience in working with children/young people with sensory motor disorders. They will be expected to be a motivated transdisciplinary team worker with exceptional communication skills and an interest in developing their skills and practice as well as the skills of others. Previous experience in Conductive Education, Bobath and sensory integration would be an advantage.
We provide comprehensive induction training, as well as access to other CPD opportunities and supervision within an expert and supportive team. The Pace Centre is committed to the wellbeing, safety and protection of all our pupils and an enhanced DBS will be required.
Initial contract will be for a period of 12 months.
