Nuffield Health are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join their Outpatient team at their flagship hospital, The Manor Hospital, in Oxford.

About the Role

The job role will involve working alongside a group of experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapists within the hospital outpatient department at the The Manor Hospital, assessing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions ranging from post operative care, sports injuries, and workplace injuries, whilst working collaboratively with some of the countries leading Orthopaedic consultants. The department has an on-site physiotherapy gym, with a local fitness and wellbeing centre where patients are also able to be referred to for their outpatient treatment.

To help you develop your skills and progress your career in Nuffield Health you will be supported by your regional clinical lead, have protected CPD time. Weekly in-service training is provided within the department, which will also include frequent talks by internal and external consultants and specialists. In addition, there are frequent CPD events organised by the Nuffield Health as part of the Learning Academy, which include both clinical and leadership courses.

The Main Clinical Duties and Responsibilities are to:

  • Manage a clinical caseload, providing evidence based, safe, effecting, caring, and well led physiotherapy for your patients.
  • Ensure on-going monitoring of the standard of treatment provided
  • Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes
  • To provide excellent customer service and promote a professional and caring environment.

Your Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Values

With a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, you'll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. You will have evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner. Post graduate qualifications will be desirable, though not compulsory.

You'll be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals. With a commitment to the use of evidence-based practice, you'll also be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy skills.

We expect you to be a competent and confident IT user and to be well organised - you'll have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
