Recruit a colleague to power the CSP

The CSP has launched a new incentive to existing CSP members who recruit new members.

Running in October, the  double 'refer and reward' scheme aims to widen the benefits of membership to more physiotherapists and support workers and strengthen the CSP’s hand in campaigning, bargaining and influencing for the profession, from the local to national level.

To qualify for the double reward, both the new member and reward application must be submitted from 1-31 October.

This initiative comes as a larger CSP staff team of organisers hired earlier this year has been upping their presence in workplaces to power the CSP locally through membership growth and better support to existing members on workplace issues that matter to them.

The organisers are also re-doubling efforts to recruit new workplace stewards and safety reps and supporting them to recruit members, an established part of the rep role. But all members can play a role to recruit colleagues.

Says CSP organiser Alice Spilsbury, a former CSP rep and physiotherapist:  'As a professional body and trade union, the CSP's strength lies in its members. The more members we have, the more powerful our collective voice becomes. As a member, you already know the invaluable benefits of being part of the CSP, so you are well placed to recruit a colleague.'

She adds:  'Increasing CSP membership isn’t just about numbers; it’s about amplifying our professional and political influence.'
