At the North West Networks 2023 AGM on 15 February, it was agreed that Jo Lishman and Karen Martin would now share the role of Chair of the network, ensuring that more capacity and time can be delegated to the role between them.
The network was extremely keen to grow the team of core members, in terms of both numbers and diversity, and so they were delighted when an additional six local members expressed an interest in taking active roles in organising the network.
Five of the new core members offered to help planning future network events – Sara Fisher, Kirstie Smith, Matt Dennies, Ruth Wyers and Donna Raeburn. They join Nena Mitchell, Naomi Bold, Helen Harrison and Emma Ninan who have been supporting the network’s planning or some time now. Together they look forward to revealing plans for the 2023 event(s) very shortly.
Student member, Sze Wing Inez, who is in the final year of her masters at UCLAN, offered to take on the role of social media officer for the network. We look forward to having a much more engaging Twitter account this year thanks to her.
