Today marks the launch of the 2021 CSP Council elections process.
Six places are available for those looking to help shape the future of the CSP and the physiotherapy profession. Could one of them be yours? Check out all the details of the Council Elections and consider putting yourself forward for this development opportunity.
The nominations process runs from 22 March to 17 May. Our council is then elected by a postal ballot of all members, held under the single transferable vote.
All parts of the CSP membership are encouraged to stand for election – including associate and student members.
Nominees who stand for this year’s elections will only require the support of six other members.
CSP chief executive Karen Middleton said: 'If you’re thinking about standing for council but feel that you’re different in any way, you’re probably exactly what the profession needs.
We want a group of members who work in the same profession but bring completely different opinions, experience and expertise to the table.
'Think about what you can give back to the profession but also what you can take from the experience of serving on council.'

They act as independent scrutineers of the nomination and ballot process as required for trade union ballots, which is set out in the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (TULRCA).
