The CSP has welcomed reassurance from the Welsh Government that physiotherapists working in the independent sector in Wales will be able to get Covid vaccinations from their health board.
This includes self-employed, charity and other non-HSC practitioners.
The CSP had been lobbying the Welsh Government for urgent access to the Covid-19 vaccine for all health and social care workers, regardless of sector.
This is in line with UK-wide Joint Committee on Vaccinations and Immunisation recommendations.
The CSP has been assured that the independent sector will get the vaccine and that health boards have been asked to implement this.
CSP Wales has now written to health boards to confirm what local arrangements and processes are being put in place to contact practitioners in their area.
