An event on 8 June was an ideal opportunity for physios and occupational therapists in Scottish pain management programmes to develop a network.
Physios and OTs explore ways to make patient activities fun
Hosted by the Scottish National Residential Pain Management Programme, it was designed to enable participants to share good practice, as well as providing a safe environment for clinical discussion and to develop research in the future.
Among the 16 physiotherapists there on the day was clinical specialist Fraser Bell, who said: ‘The programme topics included exercise approaches within a pain management programme and the arguments of how activity management is explored with patients.’
‘In the afternoon we focused on developing the network, core aims and future work. The network now plans to meet again in October with two meetings a year.’
