CSP response to the HCPC consultation on proposed changes to standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and guidance on social media

The CSP has submitted a response to the proposed changes to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and guidance on social media.

Find out about the CSP’s responses to the HCPC consultation questions on a variety of topics pertinent to all practicing physiotherapists including, whether the HCPC proposed changes:

• support members to maintain their health and wellbeing
• promote equality, fairness and inclusion
• make it clear what registrants should do when things go wrong
• support registrant’s freedom of speech

The finalised changes to the HCPC Standards of conduct, performance and ethics will be confirmed by the HCPC at the end of 2023 and the changes will come into effect from September 2024.
