Rules of conduct
The Rules of Professional Conduct have been part of the Society since 1895 and were endorsed at the Society's first Council meeting. Procedures to discipline members contravening these Rules have also been in place since the Society's inception.
The role of these Rules is to reflect the reasonable behaviour expected of a physiotherapist as a professional. A breach could result in a formal complaint being received by the Society from a member of the public, other professional or chartered physiotherapist.
This section of the site has- a summary of the Rules of Professional Conduct
- a summary of the Physiotherapy Assistants Code of Conduct
- information for making a complaint about a Chartered Physiotherapist.
