CSP e-portfolio
The CSP has signed an agreement with Pebble Learning Ltd to develop and deliver an E-portfolio system, called PebblePad, to facilitate CSP members to record and reflect on their CPD online.
Use of the CSP E-portfolio system is optional, but as a member you will find it an essential tool to:- record, evaluate and review learning from CPD activities
- document professional achievements and abilities
- devise clear action plans for future development
- upload documents and content online from your own computer
- link different records together to help with cross referencing and record management
- draw together and create specific profiles to demonstrate compliance with e.g. HPC CPD requirements, KSF expectations, appraisal, skills assessment, professional body standards etc.
- create CVs
The E-portfolio includes:
- self-audit questionnaires
- blank proformas and templates
- completed examples
- Help movies and Help sheets
- CPD resources
- CV builder
Pilot
The CSP is now seeking members wishing to pilot the new E-portfolio. The pilot will run between March and June 2008.
If you have received confirmation that you are signed up to the pilot, login now to the CSP E-portfolio using the username and password you have been provided with.
Why get involved in the pilot?
You can:- be one of the first people to use the eportfolio and get to grips with it
- use it to kick start your CPD recording and evidencing
- build up your eportfolio so you are meeting the HPC CPD standards for the 2008-2010 cycle
- develop your IT skills by using the new tool
- help the CSP to continue to improve the system for you and other members
- use your experience to help other colleagues use the system once they have access to it at national launch
What does the pilot involve?
Being part of the pilot will not be time consuming, as you will determine how much time you spend using the eportfolio. You will be given a login and will have the opportunity to work with the eportfolio in your chosen way.
For those keen to just play around with the system and find your way through it, you will have access to a number of Help movies and Help tip sheets that will guide you on how to create and edit records, create profiles, upload files etc.
For those who like a bit more structure, an exercise book will be available for you to work through, so that you can steadily progress your skills in using the system through a series of structured exercises that will also generate a number of useful records and evidence in the system of your own CPD.
All the material that you create in the pilot E-portfolio will continue to be available to you to use and modify once the pilot ends and the E-portfolio is launched nationally in July 2008.
Confidentiality and privacy
The E-portfolio is designed for individual use and only you can access your E-portfolio content through a username and password-protected login. The system allows you to share your records if you wish to, but this is optional. No one, including the CSP, will be able to see the contents of your E-portfolio unless you choose to share it.Cost
The E-portfolio is available to all subscribing CSP members as part of their membership package. If you would like to be involved as a pilot tester, please send an email to pebblepad@csp.org.uk giving your name, CSP membership number and email address you would like to us to use for the pilot. We will then provide you with your login details just prior to the pilot start in March 2008. Following the pilot, the CSP E-portfolio will then be available to all CSP members from Summer 2008.This text on this page was last updated on 22 Feb 2008.
