Structure
CSP Council is the Society's elected governing body. The work of the Council is supported by standing committees, sub committees and working groups. As with most professional bodies supporting and providing a service to subscribing members, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy has a network of boards and branches. This network serves as a communication channel between the Society's members, its Council and the officers employed at CSP headquarters.

On joining the CSP, each member is allocated to a branch. Each branch then elects its own committee. Branches fall within regions and each region has its own elected regional board. Membership of these boards is drawn from the branch committees. Each board has an elected representative on Council. Council members elect a Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer who each serve for a two-year term.
