The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), in conjuction with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Management (ACPM) Scotland, has commissioned a new publication for physiotherapists: 'Scottish physiotherapists delivering for health'. The document explores what policy changes mean for physiotherapists and presents examples of existing practice - physiotherapists in imaginative roles and working in teams across sectors and organisations to improve patient care and social integration.

CSP Chair of Council Sarah Bazin said of the report:  'Physiotherapists in Scotland provide solutions. They continually solve problems in new ways. This document shows it. We should not be afraid to adopt and adapt.'   For more details, including PDF download, please see the publication record for Scottish physiotherapists delivering for health on this website.

The Scottish Parliament and Scottish Executive

The Scottish Executive is the devolved Government in Scotland. Responsibility for all devolved matters was passed to the Scottish Executive from the Scottish Office and other UK Government departments in 1999. Devolved matters include health, education and training and local government.

The Scottish Executive is comprised of various government departments which are headed by Scottish Ministers. The Scottish Parliament is the body that passes laws on devolved issues and also scrutinises the work of the Scottish Executive. The relationship between the Scottish Executive and the Scottish Parliament is similar to the relationship between the UK Government and the UK Parliament at Westminster.

Our Scottish Parliament and Scottish Executive section covers documents issued by CSP Scotland, links to Scottish Executive documents and information on how to contact your local MSP..
